Nutrition Research Centre Ireland celebrates Dr Moran’s PhD Graduation

Dr Rachel Moran has successfully completed the requirements of a PhD degree by research for her thesis entitled “Non-dietary determinants and correlates of plasma concentrations of lutein and zeaxanthin in an Irish population” and celebrated her graduation with family and friends on 3rd of November 2017.

Over the last four years, Dr Moran has demonstrated her capabilities as a scientist, with enthusiasm, integrity, honesty and scientific curiosity. Dr Moran has now positioned herself to become a leader in our field, and we (the NRCI) are delighted to announce that Dr Moran has successfully been appointed as a 2017 postdoctoral researcher and Howard Fellow at the Nutrition Research Centre Ireland, Waterford Institute of Technology, to continue her work. Dr Moran has also recently been appointed as Chair of the Early Investigators Society for the BON Conference, and you will no doubt be guided by Dr Moran and her committee regarding the exciting developments for this unique society.
